Explanatory Minyan
You may be familiar with the "I Wish I Got More Out of Services" Services that Beth Jacob has offered over the past several years. It is an explanatory, fully halachic, High Holiday minyan where attendees experience a spirited and uplifting davening. The brainchild of Michael Borkow, was run in 2011 in conjunction with Rabbi Arye Sufrin who helped explain what we do and why every step of the way. We are excited to announce that the kick off Shabbat morning explanatory minyan in 2011 was extremely successful and will continue meeting in 2012. The purpose of the minyan is to create a vibrant and more meaningful Shabbat service experience that is actively engaging every step of the way. The next meeting will be March 10. The minyan always begins at 9 am, with the explanatory portion beginning at 9:15 am. The service takes place at 9120 West Olympic Boulevard Beverly Hills, CA 90212-3598, and always concludes with a kiddush. Please feel free to participate and/or invite anyone you think might be interested. For more information please e-mail iwishservices@yahoo.com or Rabbi Sufrin directly at aryesufrin@gmail.com.
